Here you can find examples of all my collective work across many years and different areas of photography, from studio work, to concerts, portraits, macro, pets and nature.
If i had to pick just one type, i would say portraits, as capturing the essence of someone is very difficult, and a true challenge. Street photography is also something i enjoy, capturing the busy life of cities like Lisbon, where each corner is loaded with history and detail.

Taking a leap of faith
With the advent of smartphones, now equipped with powerful lenses and the convenience of the instant sharing, i would say that for a long while i felt discouraged to fully commit into photography as a way of life. After all, everyone has a camera now.
However, having used a high end iPhone for day to day photography and casting aside my camera for a year or two, i concluded that there is much that these tools lack and won't be able to replace DSLR's or Mirrorless cameras, not to mention Medium format, or film. Different tools, different needs.
So, as i returned to my Fuji system, i was reminded how irreplaceable these are. If you have the love for photography, to capture the images you envision, you need the right tools and above all - be connected to your artistic vision.
So now i have the best of both worlds, a pocket camera whenever i need it, and dedicated gear for when the job calls for it. Plus, life's short. It's about time i open my archives and share my work. If it resonates with you, leave a message or contact me.
